House Concurrent Resolution No. 225 Senate Draft 1, (2019) convened a Twenty-first Century Privacy Law Task Force (TFCPLTF) to examine and recommend laws and regulations relating to internet privacy; the collection, transmission, processing, protection, storage, and sale of personal data; hacking; data breaches; and other similar subjects. Any recommendations relating to internet privacy law are requested to match or exceed the intent of Hawaii's existing privacy protections established in the State Constitution and Hawaii Revised Statues.
