Jenna Takenouchi represents House District 27 which includes Kam Heights, Alewa Heights, Liliha, Puunui, Nuuanu, Dowsett Highlands, Pacific Heights, Pauoa, and a portion of Papakolea. Newly elected in 2022, she currently serves as the Vice Chair of the House Committee on Health & Homelessness. Additionally, she is a member on the House Committee on Finance and House Committee on Human Services.
Prior to being elected, Representative Takenouchi's worked in public relations and provided administrative support in the telecommunications field before finding her passion in public service. In 2012, she became office manager in the House of Representatives and worked to improve public infrastructure, support schools and nonprofit organizations, and address community issues in District 27.
She is a proud product of the public school system, and attended Pauoa Elementary, Kawananakoa Middle, and Roosevelt High Schools. Representative Takenouchi earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Master of Management in Library and Information Science from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
