SENATE CONCURRENT

RESOLUTION

 

 

ESTABLISHING A COMMITTEE ON CONFERENCE TO CONSIDER AMENDMENTS TO MEET THE GOVERNOR'S OBJECTIONS TO SENATE BILL NO. 1922 S.D.2, H.D.1, C.D.1.

 

 


WHEREAS, pursuant to section 16 of article III of the Constitution of the State of Hawaii, on or before noon on the forty-fifth day after adjournment sine die of a session, the legislature may convene in special session for the sole purpose of acting upon any bill returned by the governor with the governor's objections; and

 

WHEREAS, the governor by proclamations has given notice of her intent to return certain bills and has further requested that the legislature consider amendments to certain bills; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 16 of article III of the State Constitution, during a special session convened on the forty-fifth day, the legislature may amend any returned bill to meet the governor's objections; now, therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Twenty-fourth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Special Session of 2007, the House of Representatives concurring, that a committee on conference be established to consider the governor's objections and possible amendments to meet those objections to Senate Bill No. 1922 S.D.2, H.D.1, C.D.1.
