SENATE CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 16 of article III of the Constitution of the State of Hawaii, on or before noon on the forty-fifth day after adjournment sine die of a session, the legislature may convene in special session for the sole purpose of acting upon any bill returned by the governor with the governor's objections; and
WHEREAS, the governor by proclamations has given notice of her intent to return certain bills and has further requested that the legislature consider amendments to certain bills; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 16 of article III of the State Constitution, during a special session convened on the forty-fifth day, the legislature may amend any returned bill to meet the governor's objections; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Twenty-fourth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Special Session of 2007, the House of Representatives concurring, that a committee on conference be established to consider the governor's objections and possible amendments to meet those objections to Senate Bill No. 837 S.D.2, H.D.2, C.D.1.
