Your Committee on Judiciary, to which was referred Governor's Message No. 22, submitting for study and consideration the nomination of:
board of registration, maui, molokai, lanai and kahoolawe
PEGGY ROBERTSON, for a term to expire June 30, 2002,
begs leave to report as follows:
Upon review of the resume and statement submitted by the nominee, your Committee finds that the nominee has the necessary character, experience, and qualifications to serve on the Board of Registration for Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Kahoolawe.
Your Committee finds that the nominee has served on numerous Boards, including the Boards of Directors of the Lahaina Art Society and the Altoro Historical Society. In addition, the nominee is a member of several clubs within Hawaii and elsewhere, and has expressed her sincere desire to serve the State of Hawaii through her service on the Board of Registration representing Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Kahoolawe.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Judiciary that is attached to this report, your Committee, after full consideration of the background, character, experience, and qualifications of the nominee, has found the nominee to be qualified for the position to which nominated and recommends that the Senate advise and consent to the nomination.
