      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO THE HAWAII SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.

Designates the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra as the State of Hawaii Symphony Orchestra.  Requires annual reports to the Legislature.  Appropriates moneys.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO STATE-OWNED HISTORIC PROPERTIES AND INHERITED LANDS.

Establishes the State-Owned Historic Properties Preservation Plan Working Group within the Department of Land and Natural Resources to ensure the preservation of state-owned historic properties and inherited lands.  Requires reports to the Legislature.

SB 2341

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO HISTORIC PRESERVATION.

Authorizes SHPD to conduct a phased review of a proposed project on private property under certain circumstances.  Amends the process and deadlines by which SHPD must provide written concurrence or non-concurrence for a proposed project on private property or other project that requires entitlement for use, after which concurrence may be assumed and the project may proceed.

SB 2306

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO ADMINISTRATIVE FEES.

Makes permanent, rather than repealing upon the adoption of relevant administrative rules, the Department of Land and Natural Resources' authority to establish a transaction fee for certain services rendered by the Bureau of Conveyances for each recording in the Bureau of Conveyances and Land Court.  Amends the authorized uses of moneys in the Bureau of Conveyances Special Fund.  Repeals language that required the Bureau of Conveyances' microfilm fees to be established by rules.  Effective 1/1/2027.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO NOTARIES PUBLIC.

Requires the Bureau of Conveyances to void any recorded instrument that was fraudulently notarized when attested to by the purported notary public.  Requires the Bureau of Conveyance to allow title holders to suspend additional recordings on their title, unless given prior authorization by the title holder, subject to certain limitations.

RELATING TO CONSERVATION ENFORCEMENT.

Appropriates funds for the purchase of equipment for the Hawaii Island Branch of the Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement of the Department of Land and Natural Resources.

RELATING TO LAND USE.

Authorizes rodeos and rodeo activities on lands that are zoned for agricultural use.  Defines the term "rodeo and rodeo activities".

RELATING TO CULTURAL RECOGNITION.

Requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to place historical markers acknowledging the landform on which the Hawaii Kai Towne Center is sited as Maunalua Island.
