The purpose of this informational briefing is for State of Hawaiʻi Chief Election Officer Scott Nago to provide the Committees with information and updates about Hawaiʻi's election process.  The briefing will address election topics including:

· Key dates for the 2026 primary and general elections;

· Eligibility to vote in the State and how to register to vote;

· An overview of how voting by mail works and alternate methods of voting;

· How a voter can track their ballot after it is cast;

· The process and timeline for tabulating ballots;

· Recent updates to the election laws; and

· Review of the Voter Guide and other information that is available on the Office of Elections website, www.elections.hawaii.gov.

The presentation will be followed by questions from Committee Members (limited to 5 minutes per Member).
