Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred S.B. No. 3286, S.D. 1, H.D. 1, entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to:

(1) Require the University of Hawaii to develop a facilities and student housing master plan that supports academic, research, and workforce development and reflects changing demographic, enrollment, and labor market trends; and

(2) Appropriate funds for the hiring of consultants and for information systems improvements.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the University of Hawaiʻi System.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of S.B. No. 3286, S.D. 1, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
