Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred S.B. No. 2041, S.D. 1, H.D. 2, entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO REAL PROPERTY,"

The purpose of this measure is to establish and appropriate funds for a working group to recommend the implementation of specific reforms to effectively eliminate the Land Court.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the Judiciary; Hawaiʻi Association of REALTORS; Mortgage Bankers Association of Hawaii; and two individuals. Your Committee received comments on this measure from the Department of Land and Natural Resources and Legislative Reference Bureau.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of S.B. No. 2041, S.D. 1, H.D. 2, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
