Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred H.C.R. No. 66 entitled:

"HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND TOURISM TO CONDUCT A STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF STATE AND COUNTY TAX STRUCTURES AND PROGRAMS ON THE LONG-TERM ECONOMIC GROWTH OF THE STATE OF HAWAII,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to request the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism to conduct a study on the effect of state and county tax structures and programs on the long-term economic growth of the state of Hawaii.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.C.R. No. 66 and recommends its adoption.
