"HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING 2026 AS THE INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF RANGELANDS AND PASTORALISTS IN HAWAII,"

The purpose of this measure is to recognize 2026 as the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists in Hawaiʻi.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the University of Hawaiʻi College of Agriculture and Human Resilience; Hawaiʻi Farm Bureau; Larry Jefts Farms, LLC; Hawaiʻi Cattlemen's Council, Inc.; and five individuals.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Agriculture & Food Systems that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.C.R. No. 31 and recommends its adoption.
