Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred H.C.R. No. 191 entitled:

"HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION URGING THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND TOURISM TO SUBMIT AN ANNUAL HAWAII GENUINE PROGRESS INDICATOR REPORT TO THE LEGISLATURE NO LATER THAN THIRTY DAYS PRIOR TO THE CONVENING OF EACH REGULAR SESSION, BEGINNING WITH THE REGULAR SESSION OF 2027,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to urge the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism to submit an annual Hawaii Genuine Progress Indicator report to the Legislature no later than thirty days prior to the convening of each Regular Session, beginning with the Regular Session of 2027.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.C.R. No. 191 and recommends its adoption.
