Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred H.C.R. No. 173 entitled:

"HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION URGING MAUI HEALTH TO COLLABORATE WITH STAKEHOLDERS TO ESTABLISH A FULL-TIME MEDICAL RESIDENCY PROGRAM ON THE ISLAND OF MAUI,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to urge Maui Health to collaborate with stakeholders to establish a full-time medical residency program on the island of Maui.

Your Committee received testimony in support from the Department of Health State Health Planning and Development Agency and University of Hawaii.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.C.R. No. 173 and recommends its adoption.
