Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred H.B. No. 2161, H.D. 2, entitled:
"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO PHARMACY,"
begs leave to report as follows:
Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo; State Health Planning and Development Agency; Board of Pharmacy; Hawaii Pharmacists Association; Molokaʻi Drugs, Inc.; CARES; and numerous individuals. Your Committee received testimony in opposition to this measure from one individual.
Your Committee has amended this measure by:
(1) Requiring the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy to submit an annual report to the Legislature;
(2) Changing the appropriation out of the Compliance Resolution Fund to an unspecified source; and
(3) Making technical, nonsubstantive amendments for the purposes of clarity, consistency, and style.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 2161, H.D. 2, as amended herein, and recommends that it pass Third Reading in the form attached hereto as H.B. No. 2161, H.D. 3.
