"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO HUMAN SERVICES,"

The purpose of this measure is to appropriate funds to the Department of Human Services to issue supplemental contracts to community-based organizations to address increases in costs related to labor, insurance, utilities, rent, and gas.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from Parents and Children Together; The Institute for Human Services, Inc.; Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi; Child & Family Service; The Hawaiʻi True Cost Coalition; Hawaiʻi Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations; and one individual.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 2115, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
