Your Committee on Ways and Means, to which was referred H.B. No. 2095, H.D. 2, S.D. 1, entitled:
"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO THE JUDICIARY,"
begs leave to report as follows:
The purpose and intent of this measure is to appropriate supplemental funds for the Judiciary for the fiscal biennium beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2027.
Your Committee received written comments in support of this measure from the Judiciary; Third Circuit of the Judiciary; Office of Enterprise Technology Services; Catholic Charities Hawaii; Hale Kipa, Inc.; Child and Family Service; Parents And Children Together; Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence; Hawaii Children's Action Network Speaks!; Partners in Development Foundation; Aloha United Way; Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc.; True Cost Coalition; Lanakila Pacific; Hawaii Youth Services Network; Malama Aina Foundation; and four individuals.
Your Committee has amended this measure by:
(1) Changing various appropriation amounts;
(2) Changing the effective date to July 1, 2026;
and
(3) Making technical, nonsubstantive amendments
for the purposes of clarity, consistency, and style.
This measure, as amended, makes the following appropriations:
