Sir:
Your Committee on Public Safety and Military Affairs, to which was referred Governor's Message No. 786, submitting for study and consideration the nomination of:
Crime Victim Compensation Commission
|
G.M. No. 786 |
JO BYRNE for a term to expire 06-30-2030, |
begs leave to report as follows:
Your Committee reviewed the personal history, resume, and statement submitted by Jo Byrne for service on the Crime Victim Compensation Commission.
Your Committee received testimony in support of the nomination for the reappointment of Jo Byrne from the Crime Victim Compensation Commission.
Upon review of the testimony, your Committee finds that Ms. Byrne's background, experience, and proven leadership on the Crime Victim Compensation Commission qualify her to be nominated for reappointment to the Crime Victim Compensation Commission as a member. Your Committee notes that Ms. Byrne has over fifty years of experience as a manager and administrator and currently works as the President and owner of Honolulu Information Service, Inc. Your Committee further notes that Ms. Byrne is an active member in her community, and has served as the Director and Chair of the Government Affairs Committee of the National Public Records Research Association and the Secretary and Director of the Better Business Bureau of Hawaii. Your Committee finds that Ms. Byrne's experience and knowledge will continue to enhance the effectiveness of the Crime Victim Compensation Commission. Your Committee therefore recommends that Jo Byrne be reappointed to the Crime Victim Compensation Commission based on her experience, knowledge, and commitment to public service.
Respectfully submitted on behalf of the members of the Committee on Public Safety and Military Affairs,
