begs leave to report as follows:
Your Committee reviewed the personal history, resume, and statement submitted by Allen Martin for service on the Elevator Mechanics Licensing Board.
Your Committee received testimony in support of the nomination for the reappointment of Allen Martin from the Elevator Mechanics Licensing Board.
Upon review of the testimony, your Committee finds that Mr. Martin's experience on the Elevator Mechanics Licensing Board qualify him for reappointment to the Board as a public member. Your Committee notes that Mr. Martin established and operated a business for over forty years in Honolulu, where he was responsible for strategic decision-making, financial planning, and customer relations. Previously, Mr. Martin was an auto mechanic and apprentice carpenter. Your Committee further notes that Mr. Martin served in the United States Coast Guard, where he developed discipline, leadership skills, and commitment to public service. Mr. Martin is also an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society and Hawaiian Humane Society. Your Committee further notes that Mr. Martin has served on the Elevator Mechanics Licensing Board since 2021 and has a thorough understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Board's members. Your Committee finds that Mr. Martin's experience and knowledge will continue to be assets to the Elevator Mechanics Licensing Board.
