A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO FERAL CHICKENS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2026-2027 to facilitate the collection of feral chickens that have already been caught. The appropriation shall be allocated as follows:

(1) $           to the city and county of Honolulu;

(2) $           to the county of Hawaii;

(3) $           to the county of Kauai; and

(4) $           to the county of Maui.

The sum appropriated shall be expended by each respective county for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
