A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement Projects for the benefit of the Thirty-second REPRESENTATIVE district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
1. Moanalua High School, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment and appurtenances for replacement of central air system for student center, building T, which currently has no open windows or other source of ventilation.
Design $250,000
Construction $1,000,000
Equipment $500,000
Total funding $1,750,000
2. Radford High School, Oahu
Plans, design, construction, and equipment and appurtenances for purchase and installation of a jumbotron score board for the athletic stadium.
Total funding $500,000
3. Moanalua Elementary School, Oahu
Construction for completion of the Multi-Purpose Innovation Center Phase 2, which will add air conditioning and square footage.
Total funding $2,900,000
4. Salt Lake Elementary School, Oahu
Plans, land, design, construction, and equipment and appurtenances for a covered basketball court with security fencing.
Plans $50,000
Land $1,000
Design ` $9,000
Construction $150,000
Equipment $40,000
Total funding $250,000
5. Aiea High School, Oahu
A. Plans, land, design, construction, and equipment and appurtenances for gymnasium exterior leveling and drainage.
Total funding $192,500
B. Plans, land, design, construction, and equipment and appurtenances to replace and update the football stadium perimeter fencing.
Total funding $198,000
SECTION 2. The appropriation made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation that are unencumbered as of June 30, 2029, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2026.
