The purpose of this informational briefing is for the Department of Health (DOH) to update the public and the committee on the Deposit Beverage Container Program, a critical component of the state's recycling efforts. The Department will present its strategy for modernizing and enhancing program efficiency, accountability, and financial integrity. This includes detailing the DOH's current initiatives to implement statutorily required improvements to program oversight and deploy new electronic reporting technologies.
