A M E N D E D  A G E N D A

 

The purpose of this informational briefing is to discuss current legislation to address the current and on-going State expenditures and liabilities for the Maui Wildfire recovery and rebuilding efforts. Understanding the appropriations requested in these bills is critical to develop a full and clear picture of the State's fiscal commitments and liabilities towards the recovery and rebuilding efforts of Maui. The bills to be discussed are:

·         SB3068

·         SB582

 

These bills are in addition to the what the State is currently expending and encumbering funds in the following areas: (Briefing Materials)

·         Long-term Housing – State and County Projects

·         Short-term Housing – State and County Projects

·         Rebuilding, Repair, or New Infrastructure Costs

·         Rental Assistance – FEMA and State

·         Sheltering for FEMA eligible and ineligible

·         Direct Services for FEMA eligible and ineligible

·         Debris Cleanup

·         State/County/Federal Matches

·         Other Related Expenses Expended from Major Disaster Fund (MDF)

·         Other Related Expenses Not Covered MDF
