Status

RELATING TO HEALTH CARE.

Requires health insurers, mutual benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations to provide health insurance coverage for various sexual and reproductive health care services.  Applies this coverage to health benefits plans under the Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund.  Effective 1/1/2025.

Status

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Prohibits the imposition of cost-sharing requirements for certain diagnostic and supplemental breast examinations.

RELATING TO INSURANCE.

For policies, contracts, plans, agreements, and plan contracts issued or renewed after 12/31/2024, requires the insurers, mutual benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations to provide coverage for standard fertility preservation services.

Status

RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE.

Prohibits a health insurer from requiring an insured diagnosed with stage two through stage five cancer to undergo step therapy prior to covering the insured for certain drugs prescribed by the insured's health care provider, under certain conditions.

Status

RELATING TO THE MAUI VETERANS HOME.

Requires the transfer of the Maui State Veterans Home to the Oahu Regional Health Care System and then to the Department of Health, as part of the Oahu Regional Health Care System transfer pursuant to Act 212, Session Laws of Hawaii 2021.
