RELATING TO OUT-OF-STATE PRESCRIPTIONS.

Authorizes out-of-state pharmacists to transfer prescription information for the initial fill of a prescription.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.

Expands eligibility for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program to include any individual or household whose monthly income is equal to or less than three hundred per cent of the federal poverty level.  Appropriates funds.

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Requires each employer group health policy, contract, plan, or agreement and each individual and group hospital or medical service plan, policy, contract, or agreement issued or renewed by health insurers in the State after December 31, 2024, that provides coverage, to provide coverage for dental and vision preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment.  Requires every insurer and mutual benefit society to provide written notice to policyholders and members no later than December 31, 2025.  (SD1)

RELATING TO MEDICAL CANNABIS.

Amends the circumstances under which medical cannabis may be transported by and between dispensaries.  Requires the Department of Health to adopt rules.

RELATING TO HOMELESSNESS.

Establishes a Homeless Triage Center Program within the Statewide Office of Homelessness and Housing Solutions in the Department of Human Services.  Declares that the general fund expenditure ceiling is exceeded.  Makes an appropriation.

RELATING TO MENTAL HEALTH.

Beginning 7/1/2025, and occurring every ten years thereafter, requires the Department of Health to convene an Advisory Committee on Mental Health Code Review.

RELATING TO AUTISM.

Appropriates funds to increase the funding for applied behavioral analysis services for persons with autism.  Requires the Department of Human Services to obtain maximum federal matching funds and pursue all other funding sources.
