The Legislature is accepting written, videoconference, and in-person testimony at public hearings.

RELATING TO CONSTRUCTION WASTE. Requires recycling of construction and demolition materials and use of recycled materials to factor into priority offeror selections for competitive procurements of construction or demolition services by the State or any county.

RELATING TO BUILDING CODES. Clarifies that no state or county building code shall prohibit the use of a substitute refrigerant allowed by the Environmental Protection Agency if the applicable equipment is listed and installed in compliance with the latest safety standards.

RELATING TO AGRICULTURE. Includes single-ingredient products as a purchasing option for certain state departments and entities to fulfill their local food purchasing requirements. Defines "single-ingredient product".

RELATING TO AGRICULTURE. Requires that, by a certain date, 100% of the food purchased by certain state departments consist of fresh local agricultural products and local value-added, processed, agricultural, or food products.

RELATED TO TOXIC CHEMICALS. Requires state agencies that monitor environmental toxins and pollutants to establish environmental action levels (EALs) to ensure the preservation of a safe environment. Prohibits modifications to EALs unless certain procedural requirements are met. Allows any State resident to petition for modifications to an established EAL.

· Testifiers for this hearing will be limited to 2 minutes each.
