RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Requires a teacher to surrender their teaching license if the teacher resigns or retires during the pendency of any investigation into allegations of sexual assault, sexual harassment, or other physical abuse of a student.  Requires the surrender of the teacher's license to be reported to the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification.  Effective 7/1/3000.  (HD2)

RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Pursuant to a collective bargaining agreement negotiated for Bargaining Unit (5), provides annual salary step increases for public school teachers and educational officers who have completed a year's satisfactory service and comply with specified requirements.  Effective 7/1/3000.  (HD1)

RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION.

Allows newly graduated high school students to be eligible for workers' compensation coverage during the summer following their high school graduation while participating in Department of Education-sponsored work-based learning programs.  Effective 7/1/3000.  (HD1)
