A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO SMALL BOAT HARBORS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the boating special fund the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2023-2024 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2024-2025 to provide security at small boat harbors, including the hiring of three full-time equivalent (3.0 FTE) permanent positions to be assigned to provide security at small boat harbors within the county of Maui.

The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of land and natural resources for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on June 30, 3000.
