RELATING TO THE CONSERVATION AND RESOURCES ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM.

Requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to pursue and obtain accreditation for the Conservation and Resources Enforcement Program from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc.  Appropriates funds.  Effective 7/1/2050.  (SD1)

RELATING TO HISTORIC PRESERVATION.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Land and Natural Resources to inventory historic properties and burial sites in the State, collect data on burial site locations, and conduct an archaeological surface survey.  Effective 7/1/2050.  (SD1)

RELATING TO FISHPONDS.

Appropriates funds to support the Department of Land and Natural Resources in providing fingerlings and limu for restoration and restocking of fishponds and establishing one full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) Aquaculture Coordinator Biologist VI position.  Effective 7/1/2050.  (SD1)

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO BURIAL SITES.

Establishes an inter-division program between the State Historic Preservation Division, Land Division, Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands, Island Burial Councils, and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs that addresses the location, movement, and restoration of Hawaiian burial sites or ‘iwi, exposed or likely to be exposed to coastal erosion.  Appropriates funds.  Effective 7/1/2050.  (SD1)
