      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO THE HAWAII EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY.

Converts the Emergency Management Specialist series positions at level IV and higher in the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency from civil service status to exempt status.

RELATING TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING.

Creates a separate bargaining unit (16) for City and County of Honolulu Emergency Medical Services Department employees.  Recategorizes City and County of Honolulu Emergency Medical Services Department employees from bargaining unit (10) into bargaining unit (16).

RELATING TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING.

Retains institutional, health, and correctional workers except for adult corrections officers of the Department of Public Safety's Corrections Division or its successor agency of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation under bargaining unit (10).  Creates a separate bargaining unit (16) for adult corrections officers of the Department of Public Safety's Corrections Division or its successor agency.
