RELATING TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING.

Requires the employer to initiate negotiations on repricing of classes within a bargaining unit within 30 days of its receipt of the exclusive representative's written request to negotiate.  Establishes that the employer's failure to initiate the negotiation within such time frame and the parties' failure to reach an agreement within ninety days of the exclusive representative's written request to negotiate or by January 31 of a year in which the collective bargaining agreement is due to expire, whichever is earlier, constitute an impasse to which the impasse procedures in section 89-11, Hawaii Revised Statutes, shall apply.  Effective 6/30/3000.  (HD1)

RELATING TO INTERNAL COMPLAINT PROCEDURES.

Clarifies internal complaint procedures for civil service positions by requiring a formal complaint to be filed within twenty working days.  Effective 6/30/3000.  (HD1)

RELATING TO EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM DISABILITY RETIREMENT.

Clarifies the employees' retirement system's eligibility requirement definitions for service-connected disability and accidental death benefits.  Effective 6/30/3000.  (HD1)

RELATING TO THE WAGE AND HOUR LAW.

Amends the definition of "employee" in Hawaii's wage and hour law by eliminating the exclusion of employees who receive guaranteed compensation totaling $2,000 or more a month.  Effective 6/30/3000.  (HD2)
