RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH.

Establishes the Occupational Safety and Health Special Fund.  Directs certain fees to be deposited into the special fund.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO THE HAWAII EMPLOYER-UNION HEALTH BENEFITS TRUST FUND MEDICARE PART B PREMIUM REIMBURSEMENT.

Amends section 87A-23, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to exclude medicare income related monthly adjustment amounts reimbursement by the State and counties for retired employees hired after June 30, 2023, and their spouses.

RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

Clarifies that service and compensation awarded as part of an administrative, arbitral, or judicial proceeding are included in the calculation of retirement benefits and service time for the Employees' Retirement System.

RELATING TO THE WHISTLEBLOWERS' PROTECTION ACT.

Amends the State Whistleblowers' Protection Act to include protection for public employees reporting the commission of fraud by other public employees or public bodies.

RELATING TO TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND CABLE INDUSTRY INFORMATION REPORTING.

Repeals chapter 440J, HRS, relating to telecommunications and cable industry information reporting requirements for broadband service providers.
