RELATING TO THE DISPOSITION OF WATER RIGHTS.

Establishes that the public auction requirements for the disposition of water rights shall not be required for a lease of water for commercial kalo cultivation.  Effective 7/1/2050.  (SD1)

RELATING TO DECLARATION OF WATER SHORTAGE AND EMERGENCY.

Clarifies the conditions, manner, and areas in which the Commission on Water Resource Management of the Department of Land and Natural Resources can declare water shortages and emergencies.  Effective 7/1/2050.  (SD1)

RELATING TO COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE WEIGHT LIMITS.

Amends the law to become consistent with federal weight limits with respect to legal limits for gross vehicle weight and axle loads traveling on all public roadways.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO COMMERCIAL VEHICLES.

Prohibits commercial vehicles weighing ten thousand pounds or more from driving in the left lane on all roadways with two lanes unless the commercial vehicle is able to maintain speed with existing traffic flow and is in the process of passing another vehicle.  Provides exceptions for commercial vehicles turning or exiting left, or preparing to turn or exit left.  Prohibits commercial vehicles weighing ten thousand pounds or more from driving in the left lane on all roadways with three or more lanes.  Exempts buses and van pools operated by the counties.  Takes effect 7/1/2050.  (SD1)
