RELATING TO EDUCATION. Authorizes the Department of Health to require the Department of Education to report coronavirus disease 2019 case counts and other related information in a manner most appropriate to public health and safety, as determined by the Department of Health.

RELATING TO EDUCATION. Establishes the Hawaii Educational Expenditure Trust Fund as a separate fund of the Department of Education for improving the education of, and supporting the programs benefiting, the students of the Hawaii public school system.

RELATING TO EDUCATION. Requires the Board of Education to develop a Hawaiian Language Medium Education Kindergarten Entry Assessment to be administered by the Department of Education, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. Requires the State Public Charter School Commission to adopt the assessment. Requires a kindergarten entry assessment be administered within ninety days of a child's admission to kindergarten, provided that the child has not received any other kindergarten assessment within the past one hundred eighty days.

· The number of oral testifiers and/or time allotted to each testifier may be limited by the Chair when necessary to adhere to the committee hearing schedule. We may not be able to accommodate everyone who requests to testify orally.
· Testifiers for this hearing will be limited to 1 minutes each.
