A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII COLLEGE OF TROPICAL AGRICULTURE AND HUMAN RESOURCES.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2023-2024 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2024-2025 for the college of tropical agriculture and human resources at the University of Hawaii at Manoa to establish      full-time equivalent (     FTE) positions; provided that the sums appropriated shall be expended as follows:

     (1)  $           for      full-time equivalent (     FTE) extension specialist in entomology in Hilo, county of Hawaii;

     (2)  $           for      full-time equivalent (     FTE) extension agent in livestock in Hilo, county of Hawaii;

     (3)  $           for      full-time equivalent (     FTE) state extension specialist in livestock at the University of Hawaii at Manoa;

     (4)  $           for      full-time equivalent (     FTE) extension agent in livestock in the county of Kauai; and

     (5)  $           for      full-time equivalent (     FTE) extension agent in farm and consumer food safety in the county of Maui.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the University of Hawaii for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on June 30, 3000.
