A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to the financial sustainability of the Hawaii health systems CORPORATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2023-2024 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2024-2025 for the Hawaii health systems corporation to retain the services of a consultant to prepare a financial sustainability plan for the Hawaii health systems corporation and its member regions.

The sums appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii health systems corporation for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2023.
