RELATING TO PROCUREMENT.

Provides additional guidance and updates the reporting obligations for state departments, including the department of education, pursuant to Acts 175 and 176 (SLH 2021), which established programmatic goals for the purchase and procurement of locally sourced products.  Effective 1/1/2023.

RELATING TO SOCIAL WORK.

Requires the department of public safety, in collaboration with the department of human services, to develop and establish a program to train incarcerated nonviolent individuals in the area of social work.  Requires progress reports on the program to the legislature.  Appropriates funds.

RELATING TO FIREWORKS.

Establishes the 2022 illegal fireworks task force within the department of the attorney general to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to stop the importation of illegal fireworks and explosives into the State, promote compliance with the fireworks control law; and ensure the safety and security of airports, harbors, and other facilities and institutions in the State against the discharge of illegal fireworks and explosives.  Requires a report to the legislature.
