Senator Malama Solomon, Ph.D., was elected to the newly created Senate District 4 in 2012. Representing Hilo, Hāmākua, Waimea, Kohala, Waikoloa and Kona, Senator Malama Solomon currently serves as chair of the Senate Committee on Water and Land.  She also sits as a member on the Judiciary and Labor and Transportation and International Affairs committees.

As always, her priority is to take care the needs and concerns of State of Hawai&#8216;i and especially her district; to improve the quality of life for all of us.
