Application Period for Preschool Open Doors Program

The Department of Human Services (DHS) will be accepting applications for its Preschool Open Doors (POD) program between March 1 and April 30, 2014. Applications received during this period will be considered for preschool participation between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015.

Community Works Annual Kickball Tournament Event!

The tournament will be on Saturday, April 5th at Kaneohe District Park, and shifts start at 5:30am, with the last shift ending at 6pm. Most shifts will be in 2 hour or 4 hour increments and volunteers can help with as many shifts as they'd like. Please see link for more information! VOLUNTEER

OAHU LANE CLOSURES FOR THE WEEKEND OF FEBRUARY 7 - 9

--- LIKELIKE HIGHWAY ---
1) KALIHI TO KANEOHE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Full lane closure on Likelike Highway in the northbound (Kaneohe-bound) direction between the Kalihi Interchange and the Kaneohe Interchange on Saturday, February 8, through Sunday morning, February 9, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., for tunnel cleaning.
Motorists are advised to use the Pali Highway and the H-3 Freeway as alternative routes.

01/30/14 Road Work Scheduled in Kaneohe

Rehabilitation of Streets Unit 69 - Lilipuna Road The work entails the resurfacing of Lilipuna Road from Kamehameha Highway (South End) to Kamehameha Highway (North End). Some reconstruction of concrete curbs and gutters have been identified within the project limits and are generally associated with roots the require trimming by a qualified arborist. The removal of one street tree may be necessary and can only be judged during construction. Other work includes adjusting utility frames and cover to grade, reinstalling pavement markings and traffic loop sensors.

LANE CLOSURE: KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY, KAILUA-BOUND AT MEHANA STREET INTERSECTION

(Thursday , January 27, 2011)---The curb lane on Kamehameha Highway at the Mehana Street intersection will be closed 24-hours, five consecutive days starting Monday, January 31, through Friday, February 4, due to construction of a concrete bus pad on the mauka side of Kamehameha Highway.
