Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM) hosting a training/drug summit event on Kauai

Aloha Everyone!

Residents of Kauai, come on down and join Dr. Inaba and Gary Shimabukuro of the Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM) group at Kauai's Marriott Resort on Thursday, March 27th & Friday, March 28th. The group will be hosting a drug presentation and strategy meeting with the hopes of helping the general public understand what is going on in other states that have approved the recreational use of marijuana. Speakers to include: John Redman, Executive Director of Californians for Drug Free Youth and Keith Kamita, Deputy Director of Public Safety.

Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge to change days open to the public in 2014

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will reduce the days Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge is open to the public, from seven to five days-a-week. The refuge will be closed each Sunday and Monday throughout the year starting February 2-3, 2014. Visitors will be able to visit the refuge Tuesday- Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., except most major holidays.View full article

Would you like advice and information on eating better given your specific health concerns? You can also learn CPR from trained professionals, and there will even be a provision of some medications.

Tropic Care Kauai is bringing qualified physicians and dentists to Kauai through the military reserves program. The program helps keep their doctors ready to give aid in any situation. There's no need to worry - these aren't students or people training to be doctors. They are qualified, successful doctors who happen to be in the military reserves.View full article
