ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE AND VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN FOCUS OF WOMEN'S LEGISLATIVE CAUCUS IN 2016
Honolulu, Hawaii - Access to healthcare and violence against women is the focus of a House-Senate joint package of bills submitted this session by the Women's Legislative Caucus. The caucus consists of women members from the state Senate and House and county councils. Women's Legislative Caucus
On January 29, 2015, the Women's Legislative Caucus held a panel discussion at the Downtown YWCA and announced their 2015 legislative package. This year's package of bills covers five areas of concern to women of all ages and economic backgrounds, including improving reporting and enforcement of domestic violence and sexual assaults, reducing violence and sexual assault on college campuses, ensuring women's access to healthcare, addressing Hawaii's high cost of living faced by working families and restoring public trust of Hawaii's law enforcement community.View full article
