The purpose of this measure is to appropriate general funds that are to be deposited into the Affordable Homeownership Revolving Fund.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation; Hawaii Habitat for Humanity Association; Habitat for Humanity Maui, Inc.; Habitat for Humanity Hawaii Island, Inc.; St. Michael the Archangel Church; Hawai‘i Appleseed Center for Law & Economic Justice; Hawai‘i Island Housing Coalition; and one individual. Your Committee received comments on this measure from the Department of the Attorney General and Department of Budget and Finance.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 2020, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
