A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO PANDEMIC RESPONSE.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2021-2022 to be used for the purchase and distribution of personal protective equipment and industrial hygiene products to hospitals, childcare facilities, elderly care facilities, businesses, non-profits, schools, and all state departments and attached agencies; provided that:

     (1)  All procurements executed pursuant to this part shall be exempt from the requirements of chapters 103D and 103F, Hawaii Revised Statutes; and

     (2)  Beginning July 15, 2021, a monthly report that details all allocations and expenditures shall be submitted to the governor and the legislature.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of defense for the purposes of this Act.
     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
