Representative Stacelynn Eli is presently serving her second term at the State Capitol.
Born and raised on the Westside of Oahu, Hawai'i, a 5th generation Hawaiian Homesteader,
and a proud graduate of Nanakuli High and Intermediate School. In recognition of high
scholastic achievement in the field of Economics, Rep. Eli was recently initiated as a
member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society in Economics.
Prior to her election in 2018 to represent the Westside communities in District 43, Rep.
Eli served as a member of the Nanakuli - Ma'ili Neighborhood Board for several years. She
was a member of the Nanaikapono Hawaiian Civic Club, the Waianae Lion's Club, and the
Nanakuli Center for the Performing Arts (NPAC) serving as the president of the Board of
Directors.
Rep. Eli has also served on the Executive Board for Oahu Young Democrats, the House of
Representatives as a Legislative Aide, Committee Clerk, and Assistant to the Majority
Floor leader. She currently serves on the CSG West Workforce Development Committee as
well as the NCSL Labor and Economic Development Standing Committee.
During the Thirty-first Legislative Session, Rep. Eli serves as Vice-Chair of the
Committee on Pandemic & Disaster Preparedness and a member of the Finance Committee
and Government Reform Committee. Rep. Eli is a member of the Kupuna Caucus, Native
Hawaiian Affairs Caucus, the Women's Legislative Caucus and the Majority Policy Committee.
