Your Committee on Judiciary & Hawaiian Affairs, to which was referred H.R. No. 90 entitled:

"HOUSE RESOLUTION DECLARING RACISM AS A PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to declare racism as a public health crisis and to take all steps necessary to address racism in promoting racial equity.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from American Heart Association, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaii, Democratic Party of Hawaii Education Caucus, Imua Alliance, Hawaii Public Health Institute, Hawaii Public Health Association, Hawaii Appleseed Center for Law & Economic Justice, and six individuals.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Judiciary & Hawaiian Affairs that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.R. No. 90 and recommends its adoption.
