The Committee will meet to continue the hearing started on Thursday, January 30, 2020 on the measures listed below. The Committee was unable to complete the hearing on January 30th due to time constraints. Additional written and verbal testimony will be accepted, but if you already submitted testimony for the January 30th hearing, you do NOT need to re-submit your testimony.

RELATING TO PROOF OF DOMESTIC OR SEXUAL VIOLENCE VICTIM STATUS.

Makes consistent the types of documents accepted as proof of domestic or sexual violence victim status.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO CHILDHOOD SEXUAL ABUSE.

Amends statutory limitations on the time period in which a survivor of childhood sexual abuse may file a civil suit.  Provides that the monetary relief under this section shall not include punitive damages.  Permits the court to order restorative justice measures, if deemed appropriate.
