Requires the department of education to establish food waste and local-sourcing goals as part of the sustainable schools initiative.  Takes effect 7/1/2050.  (HD2)

RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Establishes within the department of education a workforce readiness program to provide opportunities for students to earn associate degrees, workforce development diplomas, pre-apprenticeship certificates, and other industry-recognized certificates.  Requires the department to designate schools, including adult community schools, to participate in the program.  Appropriates funds.  Effective 7/1/2050.  (HD2)

RELATING TO CHARTER SCHOOLS.

Provides funding for the rental or lease of facilities through legislative appropriations and bond authorizations to the state public charter school commission for the design, planning, construction, repair, and maintenance of public charter school improvements.  Appropriates general funds for infrastructure costs, lease or rent assistance, and repair and maintenance of network infrastructure for charter schools.  Takes effect on 7/1/2050.  (HD1)
