RELATING TO PRODUCTS CONTAINING SUN PROTECTION FACTOR INGREDIENTS.

Requires that, beginning 1/1/2023, only sunscreen products containing active ingredients classified by the United States Food and Drug Administration as a category I, generally recognized as safe and effective, ingredient, shall be sold, offered for sale, or distributed for sale in the State.

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Provides that certain pregnant women receiving substance abuse treatment are eligible for substance abuse treatment and mental health services for an additional twelve months following childbirth.  (SD1)

RELATING TO ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND RELATED DEMENTIA.

Requires the department of health to establish an Alzheimer's disease and related dementia training program for care workers whose work involves extensive contact with participants or residents.  Specifies training curriculum and continuing education requirements.  (SD1)

Amends the definition of "chronically homeless" to provide clarity and improve the delivery and development of homeless services.  (SD1)

RELATING TO EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.

Enables the Hawaii medical board to certify emergency medical technicians other than emergency ambulance services.

RELATING TO THE DEPOSIT BEVERAGE CONTAINER FEE.

Requires the department of health to annually adjust the handling fees for the deposit beverage container program to an amount not less than the handling fee in the prior calendar year as adjusted by percentage changes in the Consumer Price Index for the Honolulu area.  (SD1)
