A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO WATER RATES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The department of health shall conduct a study of water rates and water usage rates in counties with a population greater than 500,000. The department shall submit a report of its findings, including any proposed legislation, to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2021.

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
