RELATING TO THE HAWAII PUBLIC HOUSING AUTHORITY.

Appropriates an unspecified amount to the Hawaii public housing authority to reimburse landlords who participate in the section 8 housing choice voucher program for repair costs of tenant-caused property damage when such repair costs exceed the tenant's security deposit.

RELATING TO HOUSING.

Removes limits on costs eligible for exemption for substantially renovated projects.  Makes permanent amendments to section 201H-36, HRS, by Act 54 SLH 2017, as amended by Act 39, SLH 2018 relating to affordable housing.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO HOUSING.

Establishes the home ownership housing revolving fund to provide loans or grants for affordable housing projects or units in projects that are allocated low-income housing credits or that are funded by certain federal programs or agencies.  Makes an appropriation into and out of the fund.

RELATING TO HOUSING.

Prohibits advertising a public housing unit and housing subject to an owner or renter occupancy requirement under chapter 201H, Hawaii Revised Statutes, or chapter 206E, Hawaii Revised Statutes, for rental purposes.  Does not apply to any state agency advertising or publicizing a housing program under chapters 201H, 206E, and 356D, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
