Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred H.B. No. 466, H.D. 1, entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE AGING AND DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to provide access to long-term supports and services for older adults by appropriating funds to the Department of Health to sustain the ongoing implementation of a fully functional statewide Aging and Disability Resource Center network.

The State Council on Developmental Disabilities, Policy Advisory Board for Elder Affairs, Maui County Office on Aging, ILWU Local 142, AARP Hawaii, Zonta Club of Hilo, O‘ahu County Committee on Legislative Priorities of the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i, and several concerned individuals supported this measure. The Executive Office on Aging submitted comments on this measure.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 466, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
